The project

Stonewood restored approximately 2,000 square feet of marble flooring in the entry and main lobby common areas at Aspire Post Oak, a multifamily residential building near San Felipe and Post Oak.

The floor showed etching, scratches and traffic wear. The work focused on restoring the existing marble finish; no repairs were included.

Our restoration process

We cleaned the marble first, then ground and honed the surface to address the etching, scratches and traffic patterns. We polished the floor to a semi-gloss finish and sealed it to help reduce staining from absorbed spills.

Sealing helps with stain resistance; it does not prevent acid etching or scratches.
